On 23 March 2024, CPL Ophelia and her colleagues were waiting for staff transport back from Marina Bay Cruise Center to ICC1 at the end of their shift. It was then that she detected a whiff of leaking gas. Knowing that it could be the start of a more dangerous situation, she asked for her colleagues to conduct a search around the vicinity.
As she was walking towards the water feature fronting the cruise terminal, she heard louder crackling sounds which then broke into a fire from a pothole. Without hesitation, she sprung into action and to clear away seven Members of Public by-standers away from the fire and notified the Cruise Terminal Command Centre for assistance to alert SCDF.
SCCS Management would like to commend CPL Ophelia whose alertness had prevented a major fire incident damaging the cruise terminal and the peripheral State land.
In another incident occurred on 14th March 2024, where a young child’s hand was caught in the x-ray machine conveyor.
Cpl Ophelia quick actions resulted in minimising the injury to the child. The mother wrote in to express her gratitude to Cpl Ophelia and appreciated her professionalism.

On the 5th of February 2024, at 0545 hours, a fire broke out in the laundry area of A5 at the Singapore Prison Service, Cluster A.
SSG Zulkifli was among the first officers to arrive at the scene of the fire. His swift response was crucial in the initial efforts to manage the crisis.
Demonstrating exceptional bravery, SSG Zulkifli actively engaged in fighting the fire, showing a commendable disregard for his own safety in the effort to control the blaze.
After the evacuation order was given, SSG Zulkifli continued to exhibit vigilance by taking a leadership role in managing the team that guarded the exit door gate to the laundry area, thereby maintaining security and order.

On 08/07/2023, a horse escaped from Bukit Timah Saddle Club and posed a danger to road users along BKE/SLE. Around 16:45-17:00 hrs, the escaped horse approached the vehicle of Sankar, causing damage.
SGT (APF) Marshal, was stationed at SLE/Turf Club exit, demonstrated remarkable initiative and bravery. He safely approached and managed to lead the horse along the road shoulder back to the Saddle Club, ensuring the safety of both motorists and the animal.
Following the incident, Uvarajah remained actively involved at the Saddle Club, coordinating with LTA, traffic police, and other necessary agencies. His swift actions and effective communication were crucial in managing the aftermath of the incident, ensuring a coordinated response with all involved parties.
