On 22 April 2025, SGT (APF) Rozaimie Bin Samat demonstrated strong leadership, vigilance and sound judgement while deployed at UOB Main Branch, 80 Raffles Place, during a suspected scam incident. Acting as Team Lead, he provided immediate guidance after a customer exhibiting unusual, distressed behaviour was identified. On escalation from SGT Ng Teck Son, he promptly reviewed and corroborated the CCTV observations and, assessing the situation as potentially scam-related, led the coordinated escalation to the Gold Bullion team for specialist intervention. Under his leadership the team supported branch staff in engaging and counselling the customer, preventing a premature fixed-deposit withdrawal believed to stem from a scam involving a fake government official — safeguarding approximately S$39,000. His situational awareness, leadership and coordination with team members and branch stakeholders were instrumental in the incident's successful resolution, reflecting high professionalism and a strong commitment to protecting the public from financial harm.

On 22 April 2025, SGT (APF) Ng Teck Son was deployed at UOB Main Branch, 80 Raffles Place, alongside Team Lead SGT (APF) Rozaimie Bin Samat. He observed a customer displaying unusual, distressed behaviour — pacing the branch while appearing to be under suspicious phone instructions — and through keen observation identified indicators of a possible scam. Recognising the seriousness of the situation, he promptly escalated it to his Team Lead. Following a joint review of the CCTV footage, the situation was swiftly assessed as potentially scam-related and escalated without delay to the Gold Bullion team. Investigations established that the customer had been manipulated by scammers impersonating government officials and was attempting a premature fixed-deposit withdrawal to purchase gold. Through timely action and teamwork between the officers and branch staff, the customer was counselled and prevented from proceeding — averting a potential loss of approximately S$39,000 — and was advised to lodge a police report and activate the Money Lock function. His vigilance, professionalism and commitment to duty exemplify the highest standards of operational excellence in protecting the community.
